Weird bug with interactions and view mode

Hello Penpot team! I have noticed a bug with the interactions feature that requires your attention. When a board has an interaction trigger to switch to another board, it automatically enables the “Show in view mode” option for the first board. If this option is turned off, any interactions associated with that board are also removed.

This behavior is problematic because, in cases of nested boards, I sometimes do not want them to appear in view mode. However, if I disable this option and try to create interactions from these boards, the existence of interactions will automatically turn the option back on.

I hope this is enough to clarify the issue, and I look forward to a resolution soon. I can give more details if needed.

I have the same problem…

All Elements / Boards with an interaction added (a button for example), are shown separately in viewmode.
If a client want to navigate through the Layouts with the Arrow Keys or watch the boards in the overview, a lot off unnecessary Boards are shown.

That seems like a bug or a new behavior since Version 2.0

It was like that before as well, but we had the option to just turn off certain things, so they won’t show in view mode, even when there are interactions to and from it. Now this just doesn’t work anymore.

Therefore, would be a nice UX improvement that every board or component that is nested inside another board comes with the “show in view mode” option unchecked by default. Most of the time this will be the desired behavior.
