New to PenPot, looking at it as an alternative to Figma for certain projects, I’m overall impressed but have a slight issue that I’m not sure if its user error or an issue with PenPot, when I’m looking to string screens together using interactions all of the components are displayed in the list not just the ‘Boards’ which is what I suggested making it harder to select that way, I know I could drag but that can be inaccurate at times and prefer the dropdown at times. Screenshot attached showing it displaying all of the breadcrumb components for the pages creating instead of the pages.
There is a bug on Penpot which is still not solved and is the cause of such behavior. Whenever you create a new board or add any interaction to it, the “show in view mode” feature is activated by default. So, some of those boards will show up in view mode and in this list as well.
The only way I know to reduce that is disabling them from showing on the view mode, but this will kill all interactions set to/from such object (this part is a bug, don’t know if they’re working on it yet). As of right now, is more comfortable to just drag nodes and create the interactions that way.
