Hello @carolina.portugal

I think would be nice to have the scrolling boards and the view-mode overhaul as features to be voted as well.

PS: There’s this one (New interaction feature: on "trigger" -> Swap Component) that I’d love to have in Penpot.

@carolina.portugal You’re welcome is it possible to announce that you can vote for your favourite feature? This by referring to the above post on your other channels like Reddit, Fosstodon, Penpot newsletter and X.

Is it possible to create an Penpot account on BlueSky?

Can you do something like this in penpot?

One limitation of this vote system is that we can’t edit, but scrolling boards we consider in the Micro-interations category

An additional few that are on my personal designer wishlist:

  • top, bottom, left, right strokes/borders
  • support for any weight or width in variable fonts
  • alternative organisation options for the colour and typography palettes (for when you’re working with a lot of colours or typographies)
  • copy paste layouts

And a bit of a far-out one that would be great for web design…

  • Styling for elements like links, emphasis, strong, that appear inline in text

Don’t think I can overstate the impact new units of measure would have in the world of prototyping. There are currently exactly 0 apps that don’t suffer from an over-reliance on pixels, which actual web devs hate. It would truly be a competitive advantage.

I don’t see component variants as an option. Guess that’s not in the cards for 2025?

Does native desktop in this case mean actual native apis like SwiftUI/Win32 etc?

Did you check this post? Spoiler variants are on the card for 2025 haha

We don’t have yet clear ideas for specific solutions. At this point we just want to know the interest on being able to run Penpot on a computer’s operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) being installed directly onto the device.

I’m so glad you guys finally working on:
“**Image Fill Types: **introducing options like Fill, Fit, Stretch, Crop, and Tiles for images.”

I can’t move any of my files from Figma to Penpot until its developed. When I tried moving one of my project files, it caused all the images to be distorted and broken, messing up my layout :sob:

Hi guys! Another idea just came to my mind and I’d like to share here… Can we have a fixed position toolbar? Also, can proportional scaling be there to be easier for users to find?

Please add support for HSL colors !
And thanks a lot for this tool penpot ! It improves my life !

Please make a full offline desktop version which I can use portable wherever I am. I can manually upload the .penpot files later to the team share.
