Why do self hosted versions lag behind new releases?

Docker images and therefore the Helm chart are published shortly after the SAAS update. The reason of this delay is to be sure there are no hidden bugs. Bug fixing in our SaaS is quick and easy, however the propagation to all self-hosted instances is much slower. Our ambition is to provide the best self-hosted experience; as we have less control over all the different systems, we choose to be conservative to ensure a smooth user experience of the service.
