Join Us as a Volunteer Community Contributor for Penpot’s Upcoming Feature!

As you may know, we are collaborating with the Tokens Studio team to introduce a scalable design tokens architecture to Penpot.

We are excited to announce an ongoing opportunity for community members, to participate actively in this collaboration. This is not a one-time user testing event; it’s a chance to be involved in community sessions that will shape the future of our tools.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are reaching out to individuals who:

  • Are currently using Penpot for work.
  • Have an established design system within Penpot.
  • Have a foundational understanding of Design Tokens or variables.

What Will You Do?

Volunteers will:

  • Attend demonstrations of new features as they are developed.
  • Provide valuable feedback based on their professional experience and the challenges they face in their projects.
  • Discuss potential problems and pain points specifically related to design tokens and their management.

Why Volunteer?

This is a unique opportunity to influence the development of Penpot features that you and your peers will use. By participating, you’ll:

  • Gain early access to upcoming features.
  • Have the chance to ensure these features suit your workflow and meet the community’s needs.
  • Collaborate directly with the Tokens Studio team and contribute to the tool’s evolution.

How to Get Involved

If you’re interested in volunteering with us, please reach out to support@penpot.app with the title “Volunteer Design Tokens”. Please add to that email details of your experience with Penpot and any specific insights you have into the use of design tokens in your projects.

We are looking for contributors who are as passionate about improving design workflows as we are!

Looking forward to this. I’m currently building a design system and the tokens would be a big step up. There are quite a few areas for needing alias colours etc too. :raised_hands:t3:

Thanks @Sulcalibur, we already add you to the list of voluntaries

@carolina.portugal Hi,
I really want to join. I’m working on a new interface for OSM.org and developing a Design System. I would love to test the new plugin.
