I collaborate with clients who often prefer to take on a designer role themselves, which leads to my intervention later on to finalize their projects. This illusion of autonomy is beneficial for fostering strong long-term relationships with my clients. Some have asked if I could use Canva to allow them to engage with the artwork, but I don’t have a Canva account. I dislike the platform and prefer not to replicate designs simply to facilitate client involvement.
Recently, I’ve noticed that the latest update in Penpot allows for commenting and collaborative editing on projects. Do you think sharing a project will be as simple as just sending a link for access, or could it involve multiple steps that might frustrate the client and lead them to seek assistance? Also, when I assign a team user, do they need to create an account, or can they access the project immediately? Your insights on this would be extremely helpful. Thank you!
