Our team recently transitioned to Penpot (self hosted), but we’ve been encountering recurring issues. I’m hoping someone has experienced similar challenges and might have tips or solutions to share. Here’s what we’ve run into:
Random Shading: Penpot occasionally adds shading to elements on its own. Sometimes it’s impossible to remove, forcing us to rebuild or copy elements from elsewhere.
Font Issues: Uploaded fonts frequently disappear. Re-uploading doesn’t always fix it, and we often have to manually reselect the font for each text element. Sometimes it resolves itself after a while, but it’s inconsistent.
Blurry Elements: Certain elements appear blurry at times. Hovering over them sometimes clears it up, but not always.
