I am working with a 1440p (2560x1440) canvas on my Penpot instance. I’ve noticed, that Firefox handles penpot much, much poorer than Chromium when working with such a large canvas. I assume, that Firefox will become absolutely unusable, once the project gets larger. Please see the comparison here: https://imgur.com/a/4mFsKKM. Even though the recording is not of the highest quality, it is easy to see the massive difference between Chromium and Firefox. Is this the browsers’ fault, or is this something that the Penpot devs could improve?

Hi @bitfl0wer there are some bugs and performance issues that we are aware that impact more Firefox. We hope to fix them soon, thanks for the reporting.

Came here to report the same. Safari is also noticeably faster than Firefox, I’ll use the former for now as a workaround.
Hoping that the document renderer rewrite can balance the situation.
