Currently, themes in Penpot apply globally across a file, which makes it difficult to manage variations when working on different system versions or dark/light mode designs.
It would be very useful if themes could be locked to individual pages instead. For example:
-
One page could show a dark mode design.
-
Another page could show a light mode version.
-
Different pages could represent different system versions side by side.
This would streamline workflows by keeping variations organized within a single file, without needing to constantly switch the global theme. It would also improve clarity when collaborating, since each page could maintain its own theme context.
