Hi, I am running Penpot on my server, and I added a flag in my config to disable Google Fonts. I did this because the options are overwhelming and I already have a smaller set of go-to typefaces, which I plan to add as custom fonts.
Here’s my question: I want to be able to use the full range of Open Type features available for a given font (fancy ligatures, swashes, ordinals, old style numerals, and so on). I don’t believe ttf files support this, and since I’m designing/developing for the web I’m inclined to choose woff. Woff2 isn’t apparently supported in Penpot.
Is woff the best choice if I’m designing for the Web? And if so, is it even possible to use these Open Type features in Penpot? I see a place to view CSS, but not to edit it, and I don’t see a place in the UI where you can use things like swashes or alternate characters.
