I’m very excited to share that our next unit, Text and Typography, is now available on the UI Design with Penpot course site.
As text is such a fundamental part of all user interfaces, this unit covers a lot. Including:
- Choosing and using fonts
- Designing text and typography
- Handling text and saving typographies in Penpot
There’s two assignments! You can test out your new knowledge by designing the typography for a dashboard app UI and a news or magazine article. These are two very different types of typography and I hope you find these assignments challenging in a good way ![]()
There’s also a bumper number of tips in this unit:
- Using custom fonts in Penpot
- Should you use real content in your designs?
- All about Penpot plugins
- What is the ideal length for a line of text?
As ever, this course would not be possible without the incredible support from Penpot. Behind the scenes, I’m really lucky to work with the best people who do all the video production, animations, site design and development, and communication.
Do you have any feedback for this unit or the course so far? Do you have any questions about typography and using text in Penpot? Let me know below, I’d love to hear from you!
