I’m thrilled to introduce my very first Penpot plugin - FreeStockSearch!

What is FreeStockSearch?

FreeStockSearch is a plugin designed to streamline your design process by integrating a direct search for high-quality, free stock images right into your Penpot workspace. No more tab-switching or breaking your creative flow to hunt for the perfect image.

Key Features:

  • Direct Image Search: Type in your search terms, and instantly get results from top free stock image websites.

  • Easy Integration: Once you find the image you want, you can add it to your project with one click.

  • Diverse Sources: The plugin pulls from multiple free stock photo libraries, ensuring a wide variety of options to fit any project’s aesthetic.

Why I Built This: As a designer, I often found myself frustrated with the need to leave my design environment to find the right visuals. FreeStockSearch was born out of this pain point, aiming to keep everything within the Penpot ecosystem for a smoother, more efficient design experience.

How to Use:

  1. Install the plugin from the Penpot plugin from Here:

  1. Open your project and install FreeStockSearch from the plugins menu.

  2. Enter your search term, browse through the results, and select your image with one click.

Thx man, is it possible to add the photos of Wikimedia commons to the search results?
