Prevent elements from nesting when dropped above each other

I’m sorry if this question was already asked, but I couldn’t find an answer with the wording I would use to describe the issue.

I’m trying to get along with the material design asset library and have huge problems moving around components. As soon as I move components above each other, penpot is automatically nesting them. Which is very often destroying the layout of the element nested into.

How are you supposed to use component libraries? How to arrange components without accidental nesting?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @jaqmol !
The way I found to do this is locking layers I don’t want anything new set inside.
