I’m running a self-hosted Penpot instance using Helm on Openshift (on a closed network), and I’m experiencing a strange issue with image rendering.
when I open a project, some images do not appear - they are replaced with a missing image icon.
The moment I click on an image, the image shows up but other images just disappear and just show the missing image icon.
I saw that requests to penpoturi/assets/by-id/... sometimes return 404 (Not Found)
Has Anyone Encountered This?
Yes, this is a known issue related to the current thumbnail rendering mechanism in Penpot. The Penpot team is aware of this, and the new rendering pipeline currently being rolled out is designed to address exactly this problem. It improves asset handling and ensures more stable and predictable thumbnail behavior.
