Open path, delete lines in vector tools / pen tool

Hi!

I flattened an icon so I only have one path to deal with. Now the path is closed for some reason and I would like to open it but I am not quite sure how I can delete a side / open the path.

For example the line marked red here I would like to be gone:

But I am not quite sure how to achieve this. Many thanks in advance!

It would help us if you could attach the icon and tell us if this happens only with the WebGL render active. Thanks!!
