Hello everyone I use Penpot to create presentations. I want to present this product to my colleagues, but I have difficulties creating pie charts. That’s the only thing stopping me.
After watching the video on creating a pie chart in penpot on youtube, I realized that no one but me would bother so much to create a simple pie chart.
Tell me, maybe there are options for creating pie charts with the least effort?
Pie charts can be a bit tricky in Penpot because you have to do the calculations for value = angle yourself. It’s not as simple as apps designed for presenting data where you just enter in the data and then the app does the work.
It would be enough for me to indicate the values “by eye” - it is unlikely that anyone would want to measure the exact proportions)
Or it would be good to outline the values on top of a screenshot of a finished chart from excel or other programs. But yes, now us probably have to look for a third-party pie chart service.
Thanks anyway! We are waiting for the upcoming Penpot improvements)
I also went the other way - I set the separators on top of the drawing myself and chose “exclude”. But after that, I can’t separate the received items from each other. They become a mask.
After converting to a frame, I remove unnecessary elements, but artifacts still remain.
Hi!
It’s been a while but it might be useful to know that there’s now a great plugin that lets you create pie charts in a snap by parametrically inserting values!
