Why switch from Figma to Penpot?

An important factor for me is when designing web based user interfaces - or anything that renders html css.

We use web technology for mobile, desktop and web apps.

Penpot uses svg html elements and css. (I believe)
Figma uses canvas.

For me this is huge as you get exact like for like from design to code.

Penpot has native CSS grid and flexbox support.
It does not reinventing paradigms.

This is really important to create common language and platform for UI in the future.
