I have been working for over a year on a better (ai provider independent) alternative to ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini.
- Open source
- focus on great UX design, privacy and awesome features (after being too frustrated with how shitty existing LLM powered software is and too concerned about letting big tech dominate that space)
- Bootstrapped
- Early alpha currently online (with some bugs + some core features still under development. But making progress every day.)
- Recently also started organizing the first meetups around the software
Curious to hear from the core team that started Penpot. Some tips around community building and funding sources for open source projects? Besides prototype fund and nlnet.
