Penpot Exporter 0.15.0— Now compatible with Penpot 2.10 and Variants!

We’re back with a new update for the Penpot Exporter plug-in, making migrations from Figma to Penpot smoother than ever. This release focuses on speed, accuracy, and better support for advanced design systems.

Fully compatible with Penpot 2.10
The plug-in is now up to date with the latest Penpot release, ensuring full compatibility and a seamless export experience. -
Support for Penpot Variants (new in Penpot 2.10!)
Penpot 2.10 introduced Variants, and the Penpot Exporter is already ready for it!
You can now export your Figma components with variants, and they’ll be automatically translated into Penpot Variants — your component systems will feel right at home in Penpot! -
Faster exports, even for large files
We’ve completely reworked how exports are processed, introducing a streaming export method and several optimizations along the way.
The result? Exports are now between 40% and 85% faster, depending on file size.
In our tests with large open-source design systems (like Tamagui v1.2.1, ~120 MB), export times dropped from around 2 hours to just 17 minutes. -
Small fixes that make a big difference
We’ve corrected a few cases where SVGs didn’t rotate properly — visuals should now look just as intended.
