I am super super hyped for tokens and started building out the design systems for various projects and also ones to share publicly.
One bump I have hit though is the alias option. It just doesn’t seem to work and pick up the token reference, no matter what I do. Is this a known issue or am I just being a muppet and getting it completely wrong?

More than happy to share. I’m building out the Gov UK GDS Design system in my spare time, so it will be available publically. I really want the UK Government to move over from Figma to Penpot one day and if this helps, I’ll be a happy chappy.
