# Timeout error with MCP server

Hi everyone.
I’m a new user of Penpot. General use is great and I would love to switch from Figma to Penpot but I have a problem with MCP server. Everything is configured correctly, MCP is running but every time I try to design using either Opencode or Claude Code I get timeout error. I use online version of the app. Does anyone know what might be the problem? I am running out of options here.

From my experience, 30s timeout is an issue particularly on mobile data where coverage is less than optimal. I see Claude breaking down large tasks into small tasks to work around timeout issues. You could ask your AI to do the same as a Penpot MCP strategy.
