# Penpot design tool menu bar text size becomes too small

For unknown reason, the text of the Penpot web design tool becomes very small and hard to see. I try to use “Ctrl +” but that only make the design page itself bigger, not changing the text size of the menu bar on both sides of the web tool bigger.

Appreciate your insight into this.

Penpot hijacks the zoom keyboard shortcut to zoom just the canvas area.

You can still use the browser’s own zoom to scale up the UI until the text size is what you want, just not using the keyboard shortcut. I do this myself, especially when demoing Penpot in action in screenshares.

In most browsers, you can find zoom options in the View menu.
