# Is there a way to move tokens between sets?

E.g. you’ve made a token (or several) in “set A” and you want to move (or copy?) the token to “set B”. (Specifically interested in adding as a new token, though I can see a use case for overwriting a token of the same name etc.)
Seems like a basic function but I’m stumped. Is there a way to do this in Penpot?
I suppose I _could_ export what I have and just edit directly in the json files and then re-import, but that seems a little extreme. (If this is not currently possible, I’d propose as a feature request. Sometimes a reorganization is in order, and sometimes you just make a mistake!)

Hey @taperry , moving tokens between sets is not possible yet, but is on our backlog. We plan to address it along with grouping and remapping Tokens 🙂
For now the only option is the one you mentioned, to export, change the JSON and re-import it.
