# Inspect-Mode: Toggle between PX / REM Values

hey hey,

since this just came up again as a topic between me and a developer:  
It would be great to have an option in Inspect-Mode to toggle the display of values from PX to REM, so developers can directly copy the appropriate value instead of always having to convert everything first.

Figma’s Dev mode already has this option. As soon as you switch from PX to REM, all pixel values in the code & preview are displayed in REM.

Since the goal of Penpot is particularly to simplify the handoff process between designers and developers, this would be a very helpful feature.

Currently, design tokens only allow PX values as well. It might be useful and maybe posibble to support other units there in the future as well.

I’d love this on a design level too, along with other units to help us designers think more flexibly and responsively. Penpot’s CSS Grid already supports `fr`, `%`, and `auto` units, so it’s totally possible!
