# How can I, as a UX designer, help?

Hello! I am new to Penpot and just started exploring. I do know HTML, CSS, JS, React, Python. However, i would like to help in the capacity of a ux designer. I was thinking of maybe contributing by designing templates or icons for the library.
1. Does anybody have a specific thing they would like to see as a template?
2. What are some other ways I could help by other designing or basic coding?
I am sorry if this is obvious or if this is a redundant question!

Hello @spandans!
Glad to see more people willing to help improve this tool. If I wanted to help Penpot, I would go to GitHub and start reading the issues there. Maybe there’s something ux related you could take a look at. I would also work on some templates and libraries, or even a plugin (as you know some basic coding, that shouldn’t be a problem).

On the libraries and templates side, folks often ask for starter templates like UI kits or templates for dashboards, landing pages and other popular layouts. And anything that works with a popular UI framework.
Personally I’d love to see more design tokens libraries and kits! There’s so much you can do and I love getting inspiration from how other people work.
