# Crash when trying to modify gradient

Every time I try to edit a gradient, the site crashes (I’m using design.penpot.app). Is this a known problem and is there a solution?

I couldn’t reproduce the error. Could you check if is still happening? If so, can you provide us info about the enviroment (saas or self hosted), hardware and browser?

No need, we’ve already digged into the problem and have some clues. It seems to be related to the use of gradients along with shadows. We hope to fix it soon.
