# Can't create a variant of the component with CMD + K

Hi everyone,
I’m a newbie on Penpot. I have tried to create a variant according to following video [Penpot Variants Are Coming | Sneak Peek Demo - Penpot Peertube](https://peertube.kaleidos.net/w/hsBtfFv9QdSXXmucpsyfub)
But I can’t create with CMD + K or KNTRL + K on Chrome Version 138.0.7204.184 (macos 11.7.10). Where could I made a mistake?
