Can we have background blur effect please? We already have layer blur, but it would be nice to have background blur. Thanks. ---

Hi @Opeyemi_Adetifa, Thank you for the suggestion! We already have an enhancement in our backlog for this but it hasn鈥檛 been prioritized yet, you can find the details [here](https://tree.taiga.io/project/penpot/issue/2024). In the meantime, you can apply the blur effect to a board so it affects all its contents, would this option work for you? ---

Hi there, The option that you mentioned would work, but in my opinion the background blur effect should definitely be prioritised 馃槩 I鈥檓 trying to make the switch to Penpot 2.0 and compared to version 1.0, it really has exceeded all my expectations. Lots of Figma features are here except the background blur one. And IMHO, you guys just need to also add progressive blur and flocks of people would just migrate to Penpot really quickly. Could this be achieved with the new plugin system now 馃 It鈥檚 weird to see such a popular feature not being prioritized, though I see penpot themselves don鈥檛 use this much 馃槄 ---
