# Allow guests to view and edit

Often find myself in need to co-op with random people that don’t have Penpot accounts.

Hi, there’s already an open conversation about why Penpot still does not allow actions of anonymous users: [What about anonymous comments on Penpot shared prototypes and designs?](https://community.penpot.app/t/what-about-anonymous-comments-on-penpot-shared-prototypes-and-designs/2589)

It is about comments but, in my opinion, the reasons behind the decision apply also to the guest editions case.

On the other hand, view-only mode is planned but yet to be prioritized.
